Central Specialties’ Impact on MnDOT I-94

In 2024, Central Specialties took on a significant infrastructure enhancement project along Interstate 94 (MnDOT I-94), demonstrating our expertise in large-scale highway construction. This nearly $32.5 million project is a two-year job, with most of the work—approximately 90%—completed during the 2024 season. The remaining work will be finalized in the 2025 season.

Project Highlights:

• Asphalt Paving: Roughly 36,000 tons of asphalt were laid to create a smooth and durable roadway surface.
• Pavement Removals: Around 120,000 tons of pavement were removed to make way for the new road structure.
• Grading Work: Approximately 66,000 cubic yards of grading were completed to enhance road stability and longevity.
